Impulse Invariance and Multiple-Order Poles [Correspondence] - Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on
نویسنده
چکیده
This note clarifies aspects of impulse invariance and, in particular, the handling of multiple-order poles. The user is currently faced with incorrect formulas and Matlab software. The problems are discussed, and a method valid for any order poles is presented via a numerical example using original Matlab code.

Generalized Digital Butterworth Filter Design - Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on
This correspondence introduces a new class of infinite impulse response (IIR) digital filters that unifies the classical digital Butterworth filter and the well-known maximally flat FIR filter. New closedform expressions are provided, and a straightforward design technique is described. The new IIR digital filters have more zeros than poles (away from the origin), and their (monotonic) square m...
متن کاملA minimal parameter adaptive notch filter with constrained poles and zeros
Abstmt-A new algorithm is presented for adaptive notch filtering and parametric spectral estimation of multiple narrow-band or sine wave signals in an additive broad-band process. The algorithm is of recursive prediction error (RPE) form and uses a special constrained model of infinite impulse response (IIR) with a minimal number of parameters. The convergent fdter is characterized by highly na...
متن کاملBlind MIMO FIR channel identification based on second-order spectra correlations
We consider a problem of identifying a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) finite impulse response system excited by colored inputs with known statistics. We propose a new, nonlinear optimization based method that involves the power spectra and cross-spectra of the system output. The proposed algorithm is tested for the case of cyclostationary inputs (CDMA scenario) and stationary inputs (SDM...
متن کاملInverse filtering of room acoustics - Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing [see also IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing], IEEE Tr
A novel method is proposed for realizing exact inverse filtering of acoustic impulse responses in a room. This method is based on the principle called the multiple-inputloutput inverse theorem (MINT). Because a room impulse response generally has nonminimum phases, it has been impossible to realize exact inverse filtering of room acoustics using previously reported methods. However, the exact i...
متن کاملMultichannel Blind Signal Separation And Reconstruction - Speech and Audio Processing, IEEE Transactions on
Separation of multiple signals from their superposition recorded at several sensors is addressed. The methods employ polyspectra of the sensor data in order to extract the unknown signals and estimate the finite impulse response (FIR) coupling systems via a linear equation based algorithm. The procedure is useful for multichannel blind deconvolution of colored input signals with (possibly) over...
